The EGO POWER+ 18-inch cordless chainsaw is rated by the manufacturer as equivalent to a 45cc gas chainsaw, without the fuel, the fumes or the pull cord. Its brushless motor runs at 11,000 RPM, and with the recommended 5.0Ah ARC Lithium battery it delivers up to 300 cuts on a 4×4.
The 18-inch bar suits larger branches, stumps and small trees. LED lights on the front of the housing light the cut when you are working at dusk or during an outage, and the tool-free tensioning system tightens the chain with a twist of the dial rather than a trip back to the toolbox.
